About American Dance Studios

We at American Dance Studios encourage all students to focus on their particular artistic discipline by combining intense study with retention and choreography games. Every 8 classes each child will take a short test at the end of class. If they pass they will receive a gold pin to display on their leotard or dance bag. At the end of the year, the student that won 5 pins will get a beautiful trophy! We feel this will encourage and motivate our dancers to excel to their highest potential. This is also a wonderful way to let parents understand how they can be an important part of their children's progress by helping them with their curriculum study. Children can accomplish unbelievable goals if encouraged in a structured atmosphere.

Our Early Childhood program is specifically designed to provide children between three and five years of age with a strong foundation in dance and movement. Through participation in this program students learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which remain the same throughout their dancing years. These concepts include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not always cancel or classes to coincide with the area school closings. Weather conditions often improve during the day enabling us to hold our classes even though some schools may have been closed. We will make the decision to cancel a class 1 hour prior to the scheduled class time.

Please call within an hour of the scheduled class time. If we must cancel classes due to inclement weather your child may come for a makeup class at a later date. It will be up to you to arrange and make up class with your child’s teacher. No refunds are given for class cancellations due to weather.
